Rudy Giuliani may wish he had never attacked
Ron Paul at the May 15th GOP Presidential Debate. Former head
analyst of the CIA's "Bin Ladin" unit, Michael Scheuer,
yesterday came out in defense of Ron Paul's assertion that American
meddling in Middle Eastern affairs caused an unintended consequence
called "blowback".
Interviewed by Scott Horton at Antiwar Radio,
Mr. Scheuer stated ìI thought Mr. Paul captured it the
other night exactly correctly".
Thus far, Giuliani must contend with the knowledge and expertise
of Michael Scheuer and the 9-11 Commission,
who reported that American interventionism gave rise to hatred,
thus setting into motion a chain of events: "In February
1998, Usama Bin Ladin and four others issued a self-styled fatwa,
publicly declaring that it was God's decree that every Muslim
should try his utmost to kill any American, military or civilian,
anywhere in the world, because of American "occupation"
of Islam's holy places and aggression against Muslims". Source:

Report Executive Summary.
Though his seemingly scripted "outrage" at Ron Paul
in Tuesday night's debates garnered him a quick and easy round
of applause and the fawning of Sean Hannity, one must wonder:
how easy is it to remove foot from mouth?
